Suntan Special version 0.69
Suntan Special Warp4 edition
Notes for USB users
USB support on OS/2 and eComStation is limited to USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. Under ArcaOS, USB 3.x is supported by the Arca Noae USB drivers.
Three versions of USB support are available. The Arca Noae drivers are available as a part of ArcaOS or as the OS/2 Drivers and Software package. USB support from Netlabs is free, if a bit experimental. The original IBM USB drivers can also be used.
The IBM USB stack is the oldest and buggiest, but it can be installed using the ibmusb sequence.
These are the Suntan Special applications providing usb support:
- anUSB - Arca Noae USB stack (you supply the Arca Noae file)
- lsusb - command line tool for manipulating USB
- setUSBfloppies - sets the number of drive letters for USB floppies
- setUSBremovables - sets the maximum number of drive letters per USB mass storage device
- usbaudio - installs support for USB audio devices
- usbcfg - installs USB configuration applet to setup directory
- usbecd - installs special USB interface for unsupported devices such as UPS and webcam
- usbhcd - alternative USB stack from NetLabs
- usbres - USB resource manager
- usbwav - installs support for converting audio streams to different sample rates
