Application database
Suntan Special stores information about the applications that it has installed in a plain-text flat database. The format of the database is a number of unsorted lines, each containing the following fields in roughly CSV format.

| Install Date | Date that the install completed in DD MMM YYYY format, where MMM is the month abbreviation like Jan, Feb, Mar... |
| Setup directory | Path from which the application was installed. The last subdirectory of the path is the application keyword. |
| Application argument | Some applications take an argument or parameter. |
| Return code | Application return code indicates success (0) or failure (1). |
| Version timestamp | This timestamp documents the version of the application. It is used to calculate if an update is available. |
